Joan DeVere Tidwell earned her CMT from Jupiter Hollow in Santa Rosa, California.  She has been practicing massage since 2000, working with several local chiropractors, specializing in neck injury, whiplash and work related injury massage.  She also volunteered for a year, doing massage at Novato Community Hospital for the sick and infirm.  Joan came to California as a teenager on a Ford Foundation Scholarship for ballet.  Early on, the other dancers would come to her to help heal their dance injuries through her healing touch.  As an adult, Joan provided hands on support for a loved one suffering from terminal cancer.  This experience fortified and intensified Joan’s desire to learn about the art of hands on healing, also known as Reiki.  She studied Reiki for three years, eventually becoming a Reiki Master.  Currently you can find Joan practicing both Reiki and massage in a session, providing her clients with a relaxing, healing experience.
